"GIRVAS" Content Management System is a multilingual, multi-purpose free content management system with open source code from the company "Karelian Developer" (Individual Entrepreneur Andrey Ruslanovich Shestakov), aimed at creating a web resource optimized in terms of the loading speed of its content, and at creating a web resource of any direction with the ability to publish content in different languages with subsequent indexing by search engines. The system began development in 2021 by individual entrepreneur Andrey Shestakov. The management system is written in the general-purpose programming language PHP without using third-party frameworks. It is based on its own engine.
On June 17, 2024, the program was registered in the Register of Computer Programs through the Federal Institute of Industrial Property, and on November 27 of the same year, based on the minutes of the expert council meeting on software of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, "GIRVAS" was entered into the Register of Russian Software.
On March 21, 2025, an application was filed for registration of the trademark "GIRVAS Content Management System" for the legal protection of the company"s development logo. On April 13, 2026, the trademark (service mark) certificate No. 1211585 was received.
Functional characteristics
- Creation and management of posts and static pages, including support for versioning of legal documents with immutable history;
- Organization of content structure: categories and child categories with recursive traversal, post archive with date navigation, full-text search across content taking localization into account;
- Organization of multi-level access to content and individual functionality: user registration, groups, access rights configuration;
- Providing the ability to discuss content: comments on posts with moderation and management;
- Managing the website appearance: themes, content blocks with display configuration by regular expressions;
- Organization of analytics and automatic reporting: the "CMS Reports" section with the subsections "General Summary", "Content" and "Security", logging of all events, integration with Yandex.Metrica;
- Ensuring compliance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 152-FZ at the core level: recording consents linked to the document version and locale, withdrawal of consents, export of the data subject"s data, depersonalization of personal data, log rotation, cookie banner;
- Multilingual support: content, website settings and legal documents in different languages;
- Built-in OAuth provider: websites on the CMS can act as an authorization server for third-party applications;
- Support for two DBMSs: MySQL and PostgreSQL through a single abstraction layer;
- Management of feedback forms and data collection through dynamic forms with recording of consents.

Users who decide to use this software agree that they have reviewed the License Agreement and accepted it.

If the License Agreement is violated, the Licensor reserves the right to send a claim to the User (Licensee) with demands to comply with this License Agreement with the possibility of resolving the legal conflict through pre-trial settlement.
